Here’s a simple workaround to fix this issue:

Why is “Ping My Watch” Grayed Out?

This issue often arises due to a minor software glitch in the Control Center settings. You may want to check and make sure your watchOS is up to date with the latest software version.

Let’s take a dive and see how to fix it:

1. Disable “Access Within App”: Go to Settings > Control Center > Turn off the toggle for “Access Within App”.

    2. Remove and Re-add “Ping My Watch”: Go to Settings > Control Center > Remove “Ping My Watch” from the list of controls.

    3. Restart your iPhone.

    4. After restarting, go back to Settings > Control Center and add “Ping My Watch” back to the list.

    5. Re-enable “Access Within App”: Go back to Settings > Control Center and turn on “Access Within App”.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue and use the “Ping My Watch” feature seamlessly.

Now if you continue to experience problems, you may wan to try these additional tips:

    • Check Bluetooth Connectivity: Ensure your iPhone and Apple Watch are connected via Bluetooth.
    • Update iOS: Make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS.
